"The Charoen hotel isvery closeto the main bus terminal, yet it is very peaceful at the hotel.The hotel is within walking distance of a new mall with many good restaurants. of course there are plenty of street food vendors near by. The staff arranged my trip to Ban Chiang for a good price--cheaper than the tour companies.the free hotel airport pick up and drop off was excellent service. thank you"

"I have stayed at this hotel twice now and throughly enjoyed both of my stays there.The staff are more than welcoming and most helpful.The rooms are clean and modern too with air conditioning which works perfectly.I really recommend this hotel and will be returning there again in november 2010.We can all find faults with any hotel if we want to like a piece of paint peeling off?? does this really affect your holiday? no!This hotel is 100% fantastic value for money, such a really nice place for your saty in Udon Thani.F.Ashcroft. "I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions and find it very good value for money.One aspect needs to improved on however.he hotel has many Group Bokings and on my last two visits I have been disturbed by a volme of noise from group gatherings in one room.This time the noise went on well after midnght in spite of my tryng to quieten down those in the room opposite mine.Maybe groups could be given rooms on one floor only and in a block. On my previous trip an Army group from Hua Hin were the culprits."

"The Charoen has been there close to 40 years and I first stayed there over 25 years ago. It s the only place I d stay in Udon. Great value for money though the pool could use a little work. The Jr Suite is a steal."

"When I turned up at the hotel, I was told that there was no booking for me and my kids. So we had to go to other hotels in case I got the wrong hotel. I later found out that it was just the incompetence of the staff there."

"Junior suite superb. My wife was unwell, so we missed breakfast. Ordered room service, the vouchers for the b fast that we missed, was deducted from the cost of room service. I am from the UK, but have lived in Thailand for 6 years and have used many hotels. I rate this in the top 3."

"Ik kom hier al jaren en er is eigenlijk niets verandert.De kamers zijn goed,ontbijt uitgebreid.Het centrum is op loopafstand.Prijs/kwaliteit goed.Alleen de laatste tijd meer farangs.Kwartierje van het vliegveld."
